The internet and social media are fantastic ways to communicate and share with friends, customers and colleagues.
However what you type and share can have a serious effect on how people view you in the future.
If you discuss things on social media (and we include blogs such as this in that), you need to think twice, post once.
Always try to read what you are writing or sharing as a confused, tired, insecure and grumpy person could. Some of the people who read it will fall in to this category and its them that get highly motivated to argue and take offense.
If you share media online such as on Facebook ™ or Twitter ™, take a second look just in case your images, recordings or video could offend someone. If your audience is restricted to friends you can probably post more risque material but always remember screen shots can be taken and anything up on the internet can be stored forever.
When replying to anything contentious, take a minute to calm down, read what you are typing before pressing send and make sure your punctuation or spelling, isn’t relaying a different meaning than you intended.
We hope you enjoy interacting and have fun.
